or just a mattress on the floor would be better?
any other ideas are welcome.
I would buy air bed or inflatable mattress only for temporary purpose. I would not recommend you to buy air inflatable bed for 6-7 months. But there are air mattresses that can give you comfortable sleep for your life time. It’s air chamber is made up of vulcanized rubber and it is totally different from inflatables. Both my wife and I like the air mattress because of it’s ability to adjust the firmness.

Air mattress is fine for a few days, or even a week, but if you need something longer term, buy a real mattress or a futon. Those futon couches work well, use normal sheets, and aren’t very expensive.
