How do I find a leak in an air bed?

March 9th, 2010 | by admin |

I have a blow-up bed that is very comfy, but it has developed a leak and I don’t know where to start to look for it! I woke up on the floor this morning. What is the easiest way to find the leak? Thanks!

Spray it with a fine spray mister, it will bubble where the leak is– after you air it up of course. I put mine in the shower and do leak checks there.

take it in a garage or basement

    inflate it

make a low concentration soapy solution and wipe it over the inflated air bed. the escaping air will cause the soapy water to bubble and make a little noise

If you can’t hear it you can try submerging it bit by bit in a good sized tub of water and look for bubbles or try wiping it down with soapy water and look for bubbles. Good luck!

blow it up, fill a spray bottle with soapy water and spray around until you see bubbles

Put a thin sheet on it and see where the sheet ripples from air pressure.
