Memory foam topper on air bed?

March 12th, 2010 | by admin |

I have a nice memory foam topper and i was wondering if i can put it on top of an air bed

Hi Vizzari!

I personally would not put a memory foam topper on an air bed. The memory foam is quite heavy and will likely create a "hammock" effect which is going to hurt your back, not help it.

I created a website about making your own memory foam bed, and I have a discussion about what is the best "base" for a memory foam topper here: http://www.gmilburn.ca/memoryfoam/selecting-base-foam-layer.html

In short, polyurethane foam is best. Check out the rest of the site http://www.gmilburn.ca/memoryfoam/ and email/post me any questions you have.

Yes, you can put it on top of the airbed.
Your air bed would probably be so much more comfortable.
I think it is a great idea.
Last year I had a airbed with a built on memory foam topper, but I sold it.
