    you can bring a foldable wood stove and and tubes on a sled then use a huge tarp to make a titi shape shelter .. you can then put your mat in a bivy then your sleeping bag that protects your sleeping bag and gives you extra warmth

    I dug a hole under my tent and buried 3 plastic-wrapped couch cushions and then used a down comforter to keep warm. That was the best tent ever.

    the snugpak special …
    the snugpak special forces combination is an excelent choice for ALL season use.
    it is really expensive though. but it is 2 sleeping bags that can be seperated into a summer bag and a 3 season bag, combined to make the snug as a bug in a rug.

    therm-a-rest are real good, sleep on snow as warm as in a normal bed! put some spruce bows under it and you think you’re in heaven :) great for winter camping!
