    I am not surprised Murray is an expert shaver. Shaving, like knife sharpening, is all about maintaining proper blade angle.

    My post below is in response to the moronic assertions by ctibbals, that Murray is shaving off hair that is glued on with a dull knife.

    He just has a problem admitting true skill, that surpasses his own (obviously by a great deal), when he sees it. To the OP that’s an amazing edge you put on that blade. Jeez you cant buy a razor that shaves that well any more!

    @ctibbals yeah…. …
    @ctibbals yeah….you really are a tool. For centuries people have been shaving with a straight blade; its not unbelievable to think a trained bladesmith can sharpen a knife to a razor edge. And there is zero evidence of any glue or fake hair whatsoever.

    Pretty much everything you just said has lead me to believe you are either 12 or have the mentality of a 12 year old.

    @n1ck3o7 Carbon …
    @n1ck3o7 Carbon steel and stainless both take an edge equally well. However, carbon steel generally tends to be harder then stainless and is therefore harder to obtain a good edge on but keeps its edge longer. Also, You should keep a carbon steel knife coated lightly with oil when not in use(I like plain old 3 and 1 oil) and i don’t recommend storing any knife in its sheath (the sheath can hold moisture). Remember even stainless will rust in prolonged contact with. moisture.

    BOGUS! All this …
    BOGUS! All this proves is that it is possible to scrape-off glued-on hair with a dull knife. No repeat strokes. No missed whiskers. No nicks or cuts. And, finally, the careful preoccupation with wiping of the blade to clean it of ” whiskers” (and glue).
