    great video! make sure you include at least 2 ways to make fire ( matched & lighter) a good loud whistle for signaling, 2 heavy duty trash bags (emergency shelter or ponchos) 50″ or so of 550 cord, 5′ or so of duct tape, a compact flashlight with extra batteries, and a signal mirror. you never know when stuff like this could save your butt =)

    lol stinky eggs rock! maybe i’ll take some on my next outing…can i borrow the professor to carry stuff? lol! i actually keep bottles of water 1/4 to 1/3 filled and frozen so i can put water on top-keeps it cold. might work for a shorter hike when you don’t bring as much stuff. i should carry pepper spray as i attract perverts at the park…might taste good on those eggs in the interim tho! :-D

    I try and go hiking …
    I try and go hiking even though I’m pre-op with my kids but not in the summer. I’ll go in the spring, winter or fall. And we don’t go as far as I would like to or as quickly as the kids would like to go. What is your facebook account? I would love to see the hiking pics :-)
