DIY Backpack Chili Mac – Part 2
July 31st, 2010 | by admin |
Sunny hike along the Snohomish River. Stopped for lunch to test rehydrate the DIY Chili Mac made last week. My wife Corie was my hiking partner and videographer. It was great being out together on such a beautiful morning.

good video. I am wondering if the vacuum bag will hold hot water and the chilimac? I would still place the vacuum bag in ziploc container and into flaming cozy. I guess it boils down to (pun intended), if the vacuum bag can hold the hot water?

@Mrlnwizard8 (Thanks for your subscription! I was over watching your videos). I have read, it will store up to 2 years. We will see. Right now it’s in the freezer. The next batch I make, I’ll leave one out and do a shelf life test, and post an update. Again, thanks for watching!

Nice video. I’m hungry for Mac and chili now. About how long can you store the dehydrated mac and chili?

Great scenery on this video. Corie you did an awesome job on this video. One of Wawhiker’s best yet. Nice weather too. Pray there will be more sunshine. You know where to go if you need more sun : )

@Ggreenvideos Two days in a row of sunshine – we’ve hit our limit for the year. I was going to go for the camo cozy but I thought the flames would make it easy to find after a bear carries it away. Thanks for tuning in Rich!
