kangoo camping-car

I did some changes, I made same camping-box, but this time it is EXTREMELY light “it weights only 15 kilos and it is even stronger then the old one” and it looks much better
being light means:
take the camping box out from the car and use the car as a truck, after that put it back
it is super easy, takes only 5 minutes

6 littrer gasoline per 100klm 1,200cc engine
you can travel a lot and sleep everywhere

big campers have problem in the down-town big cities
can not move easy and park
also police might bother the camper in the city
but to me it is different
this is freedoom!!!

1)small water-tab “under the driving seat” for 2 times shower
2)bed 190cm x 120cm
3)ferniture under the bed
4)extra strong light inside
5)courtines

guys, you can try it
it does not cost much and it is fun

Memory foam topper on air bed?

I have a nice memory foam topper and i was wondering if i can put it on top of an air bed

I personally would not put a memory foam topper on an air bed. The memory foam is quite heavy and will likely create a "hammock" effect which is going to hurt your back, not help it.

Any recommendations for river rafting near Breckenridge, Colorado?

I’m planning a trip out to colorado towards the end of August. I’ve already gotten in touch with some river rafting companies and have discovered that most of the rivers are too shallow for trips.

I was told that Browns canyon is running, has anyone been there? and what was your opinion of the adventure?

Buena Vista has the arkansas river and great raft but its about 45 minute drive from breck

Is it dangerous to use an old propane canister?

I have a full canister and a half of one that I found in a closet with my old hiking gear. They are about 10 years old. (These are the small canisters used for camping and cooking). Are they still safe to use?

Shake them to see if there is anything in them. If so and they are not rusty all over I would feel very safe using them.

Can someone help me choose a good hiking backpack?

I need a good hiking backpack for med-long distance hikes. At first I liked the cammelbak trailblazer http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=camelbak+trailblazer&btnG=Google+Search, but this got some bad reviews from people who traveled short distances carrying only 20 lbs. I need to carry 50 lbs. When I went online I found the Jansport Big Bear, it appears to be a good backpack but looks can be deceiving. http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___66999

Ditto Jim D. You have to try them on with weight to see what fits you. I’ve carried 35-60lbs with Gregory packs, but only after trying them on in a reputable outdoor store and walking around the store for a bit with weight. You can’t do that over the internet. Be sure to check the recommended weights suitable for the pack. Gregory, Deuter, Osprey and others publish recommended weight limits for particular packs. Jansport makes excellent packs as well, but again, if it doesn’t fit you will be miserable.

What would you do in a camping trip if this happened?

As an avid camper/backpacker, you enjoy hiking into dense forest and setting up a crude camp. The camping trip is for 2 weeks and so you will need a stack of firewood. But by doing this, you are encouraging snakes to come live close by. What can you do to keep snakes away from your camp?

If you collect firewood on a daily basis instead of stacking 2 weeks worth in one shot you can avoid snakes from taking up residence in your woodpile. Since you are going to be in the woods 24/7 for 2 weeks I’m sure you can carve out 45-60 minutes a day to scrounge up the wood you need for the next 24 hours.

By the way, it is you who are in the snakes’ home. They can go wherever they want.
