Jack Lemmon really shines even though he is covered in makeup thru most of this film. Of course then there is Marilyn… her costumes are made so you are never quite sure if her ample bosom will stay in them. Billy Wilder brilliantly teased us with the possibility of a seam popping or maybe the chance that the dress was see-thru… I dare you to look Marilyn in the eyes when she shakes and sings in her trade mark vibrato. But who was the best looking in drag? No contest here! Tony Curtis wins hands down with his pouting wiggle then cracks us up with his over the top Cary Grant impersonation. Joe E. Brown makes a great appearance and steals the show in the end.

The movie is a Comedy Classic. Jack Lemmon is great in this, Marilyn Monroe is gorgeous as always & Tony Curtis provides good support. The sound on the Dvd is not good though, if you do not have surround sound and a good stereo your in for a crackle of sound.

ever seen!! There are many jokes in the film that can
still be understood in today’s society and are
hilarious! No home should be without this spectacular
    comedy!!:)

Billy Wilder’s sex comedy has Tony Curtis and
Jack Lemmon playing musicians hiding from the mob as
girl musicians in an all-girl band. Curtis wants to
win the “girl singer” Marilyn Monroe, while Lemmon
fights off a lecherous Joe E. Brown (resurrecting his
brilliant two-reeler career for an indelible
    performance).

Rent it if you don’t buy it, but DON’T MISS IT!
