What are few good Whitewater Rafting places closer to LA?

I know there are lot of good places in the Bay area but would like get a good list for people who like rafting and not advertisers ;)

Kern River: about 3- 4 hours north of L.A.

    Remember, Los Angeles is a desert. You don’t have any whitewater rafting anywhere around here because you have no whitewater. In fact, you barely have any water at all.

    As previously mentioned, the closest is the Kern River. But I would stick to NorCal. That’s just not something that is possible in SoCal.
