what would be a good 65 mile cut out of the arkansas river for white water rafting?
March 11th, 2010 | by admin |hi,
Im doing a project on white water rafting in the Arkansas River. I need a good 65 mile cut out of the river to tell my audience when and where we will start and stop the trip. If you could tell me a specific cut out of the river, starting and ending point, that would be good for white water rafting (still 65 miles long) that would be great, thanks.
When you reach Little Yellow Horn falls at the base of the Arkansas River, cut to the left and drift for about 3.4 miles.

Arkansas River – Bighorn Sheep Canyon. launch beneath Cotopaxi cliffs. Begin the trip in easy water. Float past spectacular geological formations and views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. There are Class II-III rapids like Texas Creek, Maytag, and Devil’s Hole. There are more demanding and technical rapids: Prelude, 3 Rocks Falls, Spikebuck and Shark’s Tooth to name a few. Trip time of 5 to 6 hours. o_O
