He travels a lot, so we want a carry on size for planes. However, he also hikes and camps, so I was thinking something that expands would be good and it has to be durable.

What trail is around a week long backpacking? I live in San Diego and would travel north a bit to do it. I just want to get out with my friend and go on a long hike somewhere.

I'm 6'4" and have yet to find a pack long enough for my torso. My torso length is 24 inches long. I am in need of a pack that holds enough for 3-5 days of camping/hiking in the backcountry.

Would like to get personal info on some backpacking in Michigan. How hard is the hike, how long, what is the views. What ones let you have fires ect... and pick one to tell me about!!!

Looking for an overnight hike with my 7 year old. Prefer a hike with a camping area withing 2 miles of the trail head. Some attraction at the campsite would be great -- a stream, lake, interesting rock formations, etc. Thanks.
